A men’s city boutique.
Buying online isn’t a trend anymore, it’s a new reality. This also means that offline shopping is taken to a different level. Twentyonewood is the type of store which makes you leave your computer and go out. It makes you enjoy the experience of old-fashioned offline shopping again.
The clean and minimalistic ambience which the store hauls is best-defined as Scandinavian. Brands the shop sells, such as Won hundred, Denham, Woodwood, Samsøe & Samsøe and Stutterheim comply to that style of course. And as from today, Laauw will be contributing to the appearance of this brilliantly compiled fashion boutique as well.
A nice collaboration where Laauw joins in on a full-fledged shopper experience, that’s what this is. But of course, it’s always nice to know the why behind the what. So I decided to ask Steven Arts – owner of Twentyonewood – three questions to get to know what he thinks of Laauw and why he decided to add it to his collection.
So Steven, why Laauw, at Twentyonewood?
‘Because it’s run by young, Dutch entrepreneurs who are innovative and care for high quality leather. Laauw fits the store in terms of appearance and other brands. To top it off, it’s a brand which isn’t sold in every other self-proclaimed fashion store either, which makes it a bit more special.’
What’s your favourite bag and why?
‘The Tribunal; because it has an exclusive look, especially in the world of leather bags it’s a design which is fairly unique. That’s what I like about it.’
Last one: do you have any suggestions considering our brand?
I’d recommend extending your collection with some more essentials like the wallet and cardholder. I think it would be a nice addition to your brand as a whole and for us as shopkeepers it makes for more of a complete offer.
It’s always nice to work with born entrepreneurs like Steven. And it’s very settling to hear from him what he sees in our brand. And, as we are always looking forward we can only promise you: there’s more to come, so stay tuned.
